Rhytidectomy or Facial Rejuvenation

 

 

A facelift, or rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure to improve visible signs of aging in the face and neck.

 

Over the years we acquire signs of aging on the face and neck. It is very common increased sagging in the midface, and the loss of muscle tone and facial fat. Wrinkles and expression lines become more pronounced and the set of all these changes give us an aspect of aging and looking tired. The eyelid skin also loses its elasticity, this youth and, added to this, the displacement of the fat pads lead a unsightly appearance of the area around the eyes.

 

Rejuvenation procedures typically performed in conjunction with a facelift are brow lift, to correct a sagging or deeply furrowed brow, and eyelid surgery to rejuvenate aging eyes. Blepharoplasty can be performed together when it is displayed. It should be performed in the operating environment and by a plastic surgeon well trained.

 

Some non-surgical treatments, such as botulinum toxin and peels, can help delay the search for the patient by Facial Litfing, but will not bring the same results as surgery.
